After 26 successful years in the Gaslamp Quarter, the San Diego Dining Group is pioneering a new casual, coastal Steakhouse, bar, and grill on Fifth Avenue. The Butcher’s Cut’s emphasis on seasonal and local ingredients is the perfect fit for the West Coast. Inspired by the California coasts and rustic, natural finishes, there’s no other restaurant in all of San Diego. If you have beef, bring it to Butcher’s Cut.

In Meats We Trust

The menu showcases a veritable who’s who of meats in all forms, sourced from the very best beef and lamb producers. Don’t settle for anything less than the perfect slab, ours are certified USDA Prime and boast superior marbling while being free-range, humanely raised, GMO-free, and receive no hormones or antibiotics. Quality beef is carefully selected from the highest pedigree and defined by breed and feed. You will find dishes like Butcher Cut’s Tomahawk Steak, Prime Porterhouse Steak, and T-bone Steak, all hand-cut in-house by our butcher then dry-aged for a minimum of 21 days in our meat locker, which can be found on-premise.

Your family at Butchers Cut is very excited to be back! First and foremost, Butchers Cut is putting our people first, both their employment and their safety. We are excited and cautiously optimistic as our community starts to open for business. We are reminding and re-enforcing proper sanitation practices to keep our team members and our guests healthy. We are requiring all staff pass a health check prior to each shift. We are requiring all employees wear masks. We are requiring employee to review a COVID-19 questionnaire when the clock-in (experiencing symptoms, fever, etc). We are educating on social distancing in the workplace.

We take great pride in our clean and well-run restaurants, and this is now more important than ever. Butchers Cut owners & management are onsite to handle every detail of your next   memorable dining experience.

If you’re looking for the best Happy Hour specials in downtown San Diego, look no further. The Butcher’s Cut carries craft beer, wine, craft cocktails, and a variety of bar bites. During Happy Hour, our bar offers bar bites starting at $1. Including burrata, clam chowder, onion rings, sliders, shrimp cocktail, and more! If you have beef, bring it to Butcher’s Cut Happy Hour.
