A new steakhouse has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Located at 644 Fifth Ave. in the Gaslamp, the fresh arrival is called Butcher’s Cut.

This new business specializes in aged steaks and locally-grown ingredients. On the menu, expect to see items like bone-in ribeye, chilled carpaccio, soups, salads and more.

Butcher’s Cut has already attracted fans thus far, with a 4.5-star rating out of 43 reviews on Yelp.

Krys K., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on May 11, wrote, “We are on our very first ladies only trip and stumbled upon this gem. The service is impeccable. The ambiance is extraordinary. You can tell this place was made with love, care and pride.”

Yelper Frank I. added, “We made dinner reservations to celebrate a birthday and were seated promptly when we arrived. This place is new downtown, so it looks great.”
